Formed in 2004, OPEN is a three-piece Dutch alternative rock band,
combining energy, power and melodies of many different genres.
OPEN likes to listen to bands such as QOTSA, Muse, Millionaire,
Interpol, Placebo, Tool, Sebadoh, Foo Fighters, dEUS and many others.
Influenced by these bands, OPEN combines delicate rock sounds and refreshing new ideas, resulting in music that comes from the heart and soul.
OPEN recorded their first, self-titled EP in the beginning of 2005.
A Gin-sessions was recorded in January 2006, which resulted into
a live demo CD. Both EP's were released on the Squash Records label.
Their third piece of work (take-3) was delivered in early 2008 on the same label.
New recordings were made in the summer of 2009 at Studio Moskou Utrecht
that will be released soon.
